Fitzwilliam is a scenic community with an attractive, fenced common and an architecturally outstanding 1817 town hall. Incorporated in 1773, named in honor of Sir William Fitzwilliam, Earl of Fitzwilliam. The town has many beautiful colonial homes, and Rhododendron State Park and Laurel Lake are among its outstanding features.
